   A Joyeux Day started from my love for Weddings.  I have been in love with Weddings since I was a little girl.    I bought Bride's magazines for years.   My Mom thought I was crazy, 'wasting' my money like that.   I just wanted to know all about them, not realizing it was a foundation for my future career.  My Barbie was always getting married.   I would always fantasize about my perfect wedding, although I never had a perfect Groom, except for maybe Ken.  

     I do love all the details, traditions & elements that make up the Wedding Day.  I love how a Wedding appeals to all of your senses.  The decor, the flowers, the food, the music and the emotions.  How choked up we all can get with vows said from the heart.   How honored you feel when you are asked to be a part of someone's special day.   I would love to be a part of yours. 
 


     I was raised in South-East Los Angeles County   I have lived and worked in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties.  I have been in the hospitality business for many years.  I have worked in hotels, restaurants and even a charter boat company in banquets, room service, {serving food and drinks} and in the catering department at a historical hotel in downtown LA.  I have worked many weddings through out the years but, for other companies, doing it their way, which was always the same, and not knowing anything about the couple except that I am working their wedding.  It wasn't enough. I wanted to know the couple's story.  How they planned their wedding?  Why did they choose these colors or designs?   Who helped them?  I wanted to see the invitations.   I wanted to meet the family before the wedding reception.   I was no longer happy with just 'showing up'.  I wanted a personal connection to the couple.  I want a personal connection to you.

    It did take me awhile to get going on the idea.  I am a late bloomer!
 I researched various companies and associations to learn all I could about the business of weddings.  I also started a blog while I was researching everything and opened my 'doors' in March of 2008.  I have learned a lot about everything and in doing so I can honestly say that I will be there for you in any way possible on your wedding day.   I am designated a Professional Bridal Consultant with the Association of Bridal Consultants and graduated their program with honors.  I am also a member of the Better Business Bureau.  With both of these associations, you are required to uphold ethical practices.

    Well, I did finally find my Ken, I mean Groom and married him on April 24, 2005.  We were married on an ocean-view cliff in San Diego. and our reception was on Mission Bay.  We planned our Wedding in just 3 months.  Something, I highly don't recommend!!  Although, in doing so I found my passion.   I finally realized this is what I wanted to do for a living.  So here I am, doing exactly what I love and can't imagine doing anything else but, planning  Weddings!!!
